Google Things To Do launched softly less than two months ago. Although it’s still early, Google is making a formal announcement about it today. There’s not much new with the announcement, but there’s one key question tour and attraction operators continue to ask: how can we participate? So here is a list of the tech and distribution companies participating in the initiative.
Background: What is Things To Do?
Google Things To Do launched in beta at the beginning of August, replacing Reserve with Google. Things To Do is a new display on the Google My Business listings of select visitor attractions. (Google My Business listings are the listings of the business that appear on the right side of the page next to search results on desktop, or as business listings in Google Maps and on mobile.)

The new listings provide ticket pricing and direct links from the attraction’s Google listing directly to the attraction website (“in-person tickets”) as well as listings from OTAs (online travel agencies) and some tour operators that include the attraction on a tour.

For operators, attractions and distributors wondering about how to participate, we have compiled this list of partners that are currently or planning to integrate with Google Things To Do.
Three Types of Companies are Google Things To Do Partners
- Reservation and ticketing systems: a select group of leading reservation system providers are connecting, serving up a link to the “official site” for the product page of the operator;
- Channel management and connectivity providers: these are companies that provide a one-to-many connection for tour operators to connect to multiple distribution channels;
- Online travel agencies (OTAs): these are online resellers who are listed as partner sellers with links on the business listing.
Our Advice for Tour, Activity and Attraction Operators
Find out if your reservation or ticketing system is on the list, then speak to your representative about how you can participate. If your reservation system is not integrating with Google, you may still be able to integrate through one of the channel management and connectivity providers.
A quick note: Google declined to confirm a full list of partners, so we’ve compiled this list to the best of our knowledge. If we’ve missed your company, please let us know!
