About Me
Dan Dipiazzo is vice president of marketing and sales for SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery
Cove in Orlando. He oversees advertising, promotions, digital marketing, social media, public
relations, sales and direct marketing for the flagship operations of SeaWorld Parks and
Entertainment.
Prior to taking his current position in 2018, he led the marketing and sales team at the
company’s parks in Williamsburg, Va.: Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. During his 11-
year tenure at the Virginia parks he guided the launch of successful new attractions at both
parks and was instrumental in the creation and growth of major seasonal events, notably the
Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival and Christmas Town.
He previously was a corporate vice president of marketing, leading strategy and consumer
marketing, for the company, and also served as public relations consultant.
Dipiazzo began his career as a newspaper reporter and editor in the St. Louis area. He
transitioned to public relations and worked for 10 years at Fleishman-Hillard International
Communications in St. Louis, where he rose to the position of senior vice president and partner,
representing several national brands, including McDonald’s, AAA, Enterprise Rent-a-Car,
Goodyear and Valvoline.
He had been actively involved in tourism and destination marketing. He serves on the national
board of the U.S. Travel Association’s Experience Network and held leadership roles in tourism
organizations while in Virginia. He is a frequent speaker at industry, university and community
forums.
He is a graduate of Murray State University in Kentucky, with a degree in journalism, and is
completing his master’s degree in data marketing communication from West Virginia University.
