About Me
Michael Zeisser is the Managing Partner of FMZ Ventures, a growth equity investment fund focused exclusively on Experience Economy companies such as GetYourGuide, Headspace, Reddit, Fever, or BlaBlaCar. Michael is also a strategic advisor to the International Olympic Committee. Before founding FMZ Ventures, Michael was Chairman, U.S. Investments for Alibaba Group and led Alibaba’s strategic investments outside of Asia. Michael’s investments included Lyft, Snap, Fanatics, 23andMe, and Magic Leap. Prior to joining Alibaba, Michael worked for about a decade with John Malone at Liberty Media, where he acquired and oversaw companies in digital media, eCommerce and online gaming. Before Liberty, Michael was a partner at McKinsey & Co. in New York, where he co-founded and led McKinsey’s Internet Practice.
Michael has served on numerous public and private boards including IAC, Trip Advisor, Time Inc., Lyft, TheKnot, Shutterfly, Lending Club, Magic Leap, and QVC. He is a graduate of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was a Procter & Gamble International Academic Scholar.
