Technology — and AI in particular — took center stage at the second Arival Innovation Showcase, sponsored by Belvera Partners and Phocuswright, at Arival 360 | San Diego.
The showcase highlighted extraordinary innovation in the Best Part of Travel: Tours, Activities, Attractions, Events & Experiences. Five finalists, as chosen by the Arival Spotlight Awards judges in the Industry Innovation category, took the stage and were critiqued by expert panelists.

Vox Group | Vox DPS (Destination Pass Solutions)
Vox Group Chief Commercial Officer Claudio Bellinzona presented the latest innovation from the company, which specializes in offering digital city passes, audio technology, group and self-guiding devices, and multilingual content creation. TripAdmit CEO John Maguire presented the latest innovation from his company, which is focused on the in-tour experience and tour guides. TripAdmit’s innovations include a digital tipping platform, review collection with AI-assisted tools, boosting social media and booking software integrations. TOMIS CEO Evan Tipton and Agency Directory Ivy Duncan presented the latest innovations from tour operator-focused marketing agency TOMIS, which recently acquired Yonder HQ. With the acquisition, TOMIS now has a series of innovative tools for tour operators, and in their presentation specifically focused on their “AI Customer Engagement Software.” Tipton and Duncan explain this software and its applications here:

TourOptima | Integrated Communication & Location-Sharing Platform
TourOptima — formerly known as Curated Planet — Founder and CEO Benjamin Sann presented the latest innovation from his company, a platform which streamlines and centralizes all communication via email, WhatsApp, SMS, OTAs, agencies, and/or branded push notifications. TourOptima offers a fully-branded mobile app for each operator which further supports location sharing for pickups and meetups, an interactive itinerary, and a full catalog of tours.
