About Me

Alan Puana is a dynamic, passionate, MBA-educated hospitality executive with a successful record of achievement and success in Sales, Marketing, and Product management. Currently, he is Vice President for RocketRez, Inc. focusing on global growth, driving the pipeline to acquire enterprise-level partnerships around the world. Just prior, he was a Sales Director for NBCUniversal focusing on the theme park division, driving ticket/hotel sales, and marketing for the Universal Parks & Resorts sales team. Before NBCUniversal, he was the Senior Director for Expedia Lodging Partner Services in the Western United States, including Hawaii, leading a team of 100+ members consisting of Directors, Area Managers, Sr. Market Managers, and individual contributor market management staff. His passion for the hospitality industry started at an early age while visiting his family in Hawaii and traveling the globe; experiencing the cultures and has grown into 20+ years of experience in the world of travel technology, wholesale marketing & product, hotels, online travel agencies, and attraction sales.

Originally from Los Angeles, Alan is of Hawaiian/Chinese and Russian descent. Alan holds a BA in International Relations from The University of San Diego and an Executive MBA from the University of California, Irvine – Paul Merage School of Business. In addition, Alan also completed The Disney Approach to Leadership Excellence Program, sat on The Board of Directors for the San Francisco Travel Association and Visit Burbank. Alan’s most important aspects of his life include his family (2 young daughters; Ages 12 & 14, Mom), friends, and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture through tourism. He also enjoys exercising, water sports, playing golf, and obviously extensive travel.

This Conference Code of Conduct shares our community expectations and applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at Arival- produced and sponsored events. Individuals expelled due to violating this Conference Code of Conduct will not be eligible for a refund or other consolation.
