About Me
Born into a family rooted in the tours and activities industry, Achi grew up surrounded by the diversity of Thai culture, while also seeing the effects of unsustainable travel.
Together with her sister she co-founded a social enterprise HiveSters that provides real Thai experiences with artisans in local communities – with a mission to preserve disappearing Thai culture and increase income to locals in their communities.
HiveSters has partnered with more than 300 artisans across Thailand who create art, performance, crafts and cooking – training them to be ready to welcome and share their passion to travellers who are seeking experiences that make a difference. The training equips local artisans with the necessary skills in service, storytelling and small business management to gain access to the tourism industry.
HiveSters’ achievements have been recognised globally – including the ITB Berlin Golden Palm Award (2017); The Award of Excellence (Kinnari) by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (2017); and alumni of Booking.com Booking Booster program (2018).
Prior to co-founding HiveSters, Achi worked as a Marketing and Brand Management Assistant Manager at Unilever. She graduated with an MBA in Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC university, France. Driven by her passion in food and travel, Achi recently launched ‘Local Thai Kitchen’ to showcase delicious Thai cooking made by local grannies and aunties in local communities.
