About Me

Chris was born and grew up in the UK and was bitten by the Africa bug on a family holiday to Kenya. He has travelled Africa extensively having travelled overland from London to South Africa before ending up working in a variety of roles within the travel industry based in the UK both from the Travel Agency and Tour Operator side. In early 2005 Chris was given the opportunity to move to Cape Town to grow the South African office of UK Based Tour Operator Acacia Adventure Holidays. Now back in the UK Chris is CEO of the African Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA), a trade association focused on promoting tourism to Africa from all corners of the world with over 650 members spread across 49 countries globally.

  • Breakout Sessions: Experience hands-on learning at Edinburgh’s top attractions and tours, with sessions on visitor experience, digital journeys and innovative tour development. In-depth sessions for companies at the beginning of their digital journey and more advanced sessions for people and companies looking to elevate their experience.

This Conference Code of Conduct shares our community expectations and applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at Arival- produced and sponsored events. Severe breaches of this Conference Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in future events. Individuals expelled due to violating this Conference Code of Conduct will not be eligible for a refund or other consolation.
