Stephanie M. Jones, Founder & CEO of the Cultural Heritage Economic Alliance, Inc. (CHEA), is leading cultural heritage tourism thought leader introducing innovative and sustainable tourism initiatives designed to leverage cultural heritage tourism as an economic driver for fueling governments, destinations, and local tourism businesses.
Jones is the founder of several game-changing ventures such as Culture onShore (www.cultureonshore.com), the world’s first global marketplace for cultural heritage tours + activities launching in 2021. She is also the founder of the National Blacks in Travel & Tourism Collaborative (www.blacksintourism.org), an initiative dedicated to ensuring full participation of Blacks in travel and tourism and helping to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive industry for all. She owns Cultural Heritage Alliance Tours, the premier tour operator for cultural heritage tours in South Florida.
Jones is the founder of the annual National Cultural Heritage Tourism Summit. She is a tourism development consultant providing destination development, multicultural marketing, and local stakeholder engagement services to position destinations and small businesses to attract domestic and international cultural travelers.
She works in partnership with Brand USA, Destinations International, and several destination marketing organizations to promote diversity, inclusion, and advancement of Blacks in travel and tourism. She serves on several industry councils and committees. She is a Reverse Exchange Fellow for the U.S. Department of State’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative and has been tapped by international destinations as a keynote speaker on various cultural tourism topics.
