Marica Mackenroth Brewster is an award-winning marketer and digital strategy enthusiast.
A recent honoree of New Orleans City Business’s “Women of the Year” award class and T Hawk’s Einstein Award, Mrs. Brewster is known best for her dual expertise in digital marketing and in tourism, serving each as CEO of The Von Mack Agency – a company she founded to market exclusively for experiences.
During her career, Marica’s work in ad agency settings and in tourism has continued to make waves. Moving quickly from pre-Crescent City tech boom PPC, UX, and Project Management positions to founding marketing, sales, and IT departments for tour conglomerates, her industry passions coalesced in 2016 when she was approached to launch the U.S. arm of Tomahawk Tourism Marketing – an acclaimed New Zealand digital tourism marketing agency known for work with Fiji Airways and Experience Australia. After establishing the company and quickly rising to CEO, USA, Brewster branched off to create her own brand with Von Mack, gaining headlines and garnering partnerships across the Gulf Coast within days.
When she’s not busy blogging, advising clients, or in the trenches, Marica serves on the Marketing Advisory Board for LA Tax-Free Shopping, the board of the French Quarter Business Association, co-chairs the FQBA marketing committee, chairs the Vieux Carre Commission Foundation PR team, and is the immediate past PR Chair of Mid South Women in Tourism. She’s also co-founder of the city’s grassroots NOLA Proof campaign and is a member of the Louisiana Travel Association, whom she’s partnered with to provide educational workshops since 2016.
Marica’s background includes PPC for New Orleans’ publicly funded 2006 Hurricane Katrina recovery campaign, a digital agency position leading 300 clients, and 6 years in IT systems, sales, and marketing for Pelican New Orleans, where she was voted “Stand Out Employee of the Year” in 2013.
