About Me
Luca Perfetto, Chief Executive Officer at Towns of Italy, is the co-founder and “the man behind the desk” who runs down the stairs to welcome you and share a coffee (or better if you fancy a glass of Tuscan wine). His fascination with numbers and strategy paired with his passion for hospitality make him the ideal man to lead the company’s long-term vision and strategy.
Originally from the charming town of Pistoia, in the heart of Tuscany, after studying at Florence University school of Economics and NYU and spending 10 round years in Luxury hotels, Luca co-founded Florencetown in 2006, one of the first tour operators in Tuscany to offer experiences such as vespa tours and regular cooking classes, creating a model that has then been expanded nationwide, as Towns of Italy.
Today the team of “experience makers” of Towns of Italy provides a wide variety of high-quality small-group tours and experiences and cooking classes all over Italy, from Milan to Sicily, boasting a huge transportation dept, three cooking schools (and counting) and more than 100 people working on season. Luca also guided the company growth into what today is a group specialized in experiential travel that holds Arno Travel, the luxury travel division and ItalyXP, an online travel agency. Today he sits on the executive board of “Destination Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau”. He’s also being a passionate lecturer for various Hotel Schools and Universities.
