Andrew McEvoy is the Managing Director of the Tourism Sector at NEOM, leading the creation of a destination where diverse natural habitats meet futuristic tourism that will host 5 million tourists by 2030. He has over 25 years’ experience in executive and non-executive roles in tourism, the media, digital marketing and e-commerce. Prior to joining NEOM, McEvoy served as Director of Lux Group and Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia and was a Non-Executive Director of Ingenia. He also recently served as Chairman of SeaLink Travel Group and Managing Director of Life, Media and Events at Fairfax Media in Sydney, Australia. McEvoy has held numerous senior management and director roles as part of his long career in the tourism industry, including at the Melbourne Convention Bureau, Tourism Victoria and the South Australian Tourism Commission, and is a former Managing Director and CEO of Tourism Australia. During his time as Managing Director of Tourism Australia, McEvoy successfully led the strategy to significantly bolster Australia’s marketing efforts in Asia and to work with partners to grow capacity into the country. McEvoy holds a Master of Arts, International Communications and a Bachelor of Arts degree
