About Me

Big Bus Tours is the world’s leading owner-operator of hop-on hop-off open-top sightseeing tours, with operations in 20 cities around the world from San Francisco through to Sydney. Alex joined the business following the acquisition of Big Bus Tours by private equity company Exponent in 2015 and is responsible for transforming the business to meet the challenges and opportunities of modern-day tourists.

Since joining, Alex has brought a new level of customer centricity to the business, with the introduction of free Wi-Fi for all customers, wider use of tour guides, an all-new consumer website and the world’s first all-electric open-top sightseeing bus. He has also overseen the expansion into 3 new cities (and growing) and acquisition of a leisure pass business, as well as a number of strategic partnerships with travel partners like Merlin Entertainment, Booking.com and Ctrip.

Prior to Big Bus Tours, Alex held a number of senior product, marketing and strategy positions at Microsoft,
eBay and PokerStars. Alex holds an MBA from INSEAD and studied modern European history at Durham

This Conference Code of Conduct shares our community expectations and applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at Arival- produced and sponsored events. Individuals expelled due to violating this Conference Code of Conduct will not be eligible for a refund or other consolation.
