About Me

John Curran is Vice President and General Manager of Big Bus Tours Chicago. Big Bus is the largest privately held open top sightseeing company in the world giving visitors the freedom to hop-on to discover and hop-off to explore the cultures of 23 global cities.

His tourism career is a curated tapestry which includes leadership roles within destination management organizations, tours and transportation, theme restaurants, and publishing. He has years of transportation logistics and charter experience including such notable fun stuff as the historic 2008 Barack Obama Election Night in Grant Park, Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Parade, and the 2020 Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade this past February. He is also quick to jump on a double-decker bus, grab the mic, and give a tour of the city he loves – Chicago.

John is a member of the National Council of Attractions & Experiences board of directors for the U.S. Travel Association; and is a chairman of the Traffic and Transportation Committee for Chicago’s Magnificent Mile Association.

This Conference Code of Conduct shares our community expectations and applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at Arival- produced and sponsored events. We empower all participants in our community to actively engage in creating a friendly, inclusive and safe environment for all.

All determinations are at the sole discretion of Arival, and the decision of the Arival team will be final. Severe breaches of this Conference Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in future events. Individuals expelled due to violating this Conference Code of Conduct will not be eligible for a refund or other consolation.
