Welcome Center – Senior Tour Guide & Concierge (Earn & Learn – SP25)
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
The Welcome Center offers students the opportunity to interact with the public and fellow students on a daily basis. Students will welcome all guests, lead tours, and confirm dining reservations.
SHIFTS
- Shifts available: Monday to Saturday 8am-9pm
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests.
- Tell guests what options are available.
- Direct guests to dining and tour locations.
- Lead public and prospective tours.
- Train new students to give excellent tours.
- Cover the office and events when a supervisor is not available.
PREREQUISITES
- Completion of 2 successful semesters as a Welcome Center Tour Guide/Concierge without any behavioral or performance issues
- Must have recommendation for supervisor to be rehire for senior role
- Must be approachable, friendly, and professional.
- Must have completed one semester giving Admissions tours with no negative feedback.
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
- Experience dealing with the public and public speaking is helpful.

- Ability to maintain professionalism and adhering to standards of operational excellence, safety, efficiency and educational goals set by the CIA.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, students, and faculty/staff.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
