Premier Travel Media is a respected publisher of magazines, websites and e-newsletters that serve and support the global travel industry. Our brands cover the student travel, family travel, sports tourism, leisure group travel, international inbound travel and the on-location film production markets. With a wide range of customers and clients, we are looking for a Director of Business Development with experience in the travel industry.
Position Summary–Director of Business Development
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our sales and marketing team. The successful candidate will be able to showcase a strong, energetic personality, demonstrate an aptitude for building relationships at the national, state and regional level, present a professional demeanor and appearance while having a passion for success in advertising sales. This is an ideal opportunity for a reliable, organized self-starter who is passionate about travel.
Responsibilities for this position include relationship-based sales and programs for our various platforms. In this capacity, you will be partnering with destination marketing organizations, state and regional tourism offices, hotel chains and attractions across the United States to showcase their tourism assets to our diverse readership.
Successful track record of relationship-building sales experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous advertising sales experience a huge plus

Online and social media aptitude

Experience working within CRM systems
Sales: 3+ years
Business Development: 1+ year
Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Confident, comfortable public demeanor with prospects and clients. Ability to research anticipated client/prospect needs, listen to their interests and develop strong recommendations to meet those needs. The ability to close sales is critical. Being detail oriented, while multi-tasking is paramount.
This is a full-time position, salary, plus commission and sales bonus. Includes participation in the company benefits program (insurance, 401k, PTO).
