General Summary & Essential Responsibilities


Supports the marketing team in promoting and enhancing the visibility of the destination to various target audiences. Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies and initiatives to attract visitors, increase tourism revenue, and enhance the overall brand image of the destination. Assist in increasing partner engagement. Responsible for providing creative, analytical, administrative and marketing people skills to ensure the success of marketing campaigns and initiatives.


  • Support and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database across all channels to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in management of Content Management System (CMS) for the website(s) on a day-to-day and continual basis.
  • Assist in managing technology systems utilized to include but not limited to digital asset management, user generated content, virtual tours, Simpleview ecosystem, etc.
  • Assist in managing email marketing creation, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Assist in content development for the website and ensuring accuracy throughout.
  • Assist in managing the destination’s social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate and assist in the planning and execution of partner events.
  • Ensures destination brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology as well as through graphical applications and images.
  • Consistently engage with Partner businesses in introducing, educating, onboarding and training on the Partner Portal.
  • Stay abreast of marketing trends and best practices and implement for the department.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and marketing materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree

  • Knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, plans, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other job-related computer programs and software applications.
  • Knowledge of operations and practices of local government; ability to analyze and interpret departmental functions, procedures and policies.?
  • Knowledge with destination marketing concepts and practices
  • Knowledge with email marketing platforms
  • Knowledge of various social media platforms and corresponding KPI’s.
  • Skill in graphic design software and Google Analytics
  • Skill in database management
  • Ability to be highly organized and flexible with the ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and research skills; ability to ascertain priorities and meet deadlines and objectives.?
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to include public speaking
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
  • Ability to provide internal/external guidance and customer assistance via all forms of communication.?
  • Ability to make recommendations and to use resourcefulness and tact in solving new problems.?
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, service providers, other employees, and the general public.
