The Role:
The Adventure Group’s mission is to create spectacular experiences for people that lead to moments of personal growth. While behind the scenes, the Maintenance helper assists with the delivery of required fleet maintenance work thus ensuring guests and staff have a positive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily tech maintenance.
- Support the inventory management of all parts and supplies, ensuring timely ordering of new products when required.
- Respond to last minute requests or changing priorities to ensure maintenance supports operational delivery.
- Supports management and care of all TAG owned equipment including but not limited to Aerial Obstacle Course and Zipline Gear and Equipment.
- Ensure workshop and areas are clean and tidy.
- Ensuring safe working practices are being used in the workshop and on tenure at all times.
- Work alongside TAG contractors and aid them wherever needed on projects
- TAG is proud to have a dynamic team who roll up their sleeves to get the work done. As such, this role may require helping out other team members and departments as needed within your scope of experience
- Ensure good communication between your team and supervisor
- Ensure the quality of the repairs coming out of the workshop are up to TAG, TSBC, and Work Safe BC set standards.
- Work with the tech team lead on inspections of course, gear, and equipment
Requirements:
- Education or training in maintenance is an asset.
- Good knowledge and experience of various hand tools.
- Openness to learn and grow skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help out and learn.
- Service orientation: committed and driven to provide a good service to stakeholder (internal staff, team members, guests etc)
- Flexible to changing priorities.
- Must be able to lift 30lbs and be able to work in an outdoor environment, be mobile and on your feet for the majority of the shift.
- 80-hour first aid certification is an asset, but not essential
- Rope certification (IRATA, SPRAT, NFPA, or other) are assets, but not essential.
