Ski & Ride Guest Relations and Sales Manager

The Sun Valley Ski & Ride Guest Relations and Sales Manager will be a proactive leader to join a team dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for Ski & Ride guests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Ski & Ride School Sales & Guest Services Desk
  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage The Sales Desk Team
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of all lessons, programs, and rate details
  • Manage the guests’ experience related to learning, understanding and purchasing ski & ride products
  • Assist Ski & Ride Administration, Mountain Guest Services Staff, and Supervisors as needed
  • Engage in professional and solution-oriented communications with Ski & Ride guests
  • Update website & other promotional material as needed
  • Update and enhance the sales strategy of lesson products
  • Coordinate with Sun Valley Group Sales Department to promote ski & ride products
  • Manage all correspondence related to billing, products, and orders
  • Complete administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, email correspondence, answering phones, etc.


  • Guest service and sales expert
  • An inspiring and supportive leader with snow sports school experience
  • Interpersonal skills that create relationships based on trust
  • Experience supervising employees and conducting performance appraisals
  • Computer skills – RTP and Microsoft proficiency necessary
  • Must be 21 years or older – required
  • High School diploma or equivalent – required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and comprehend English fluently – required
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays throughout the season – required
  • Must be able to work from November – April – required

Performance Expectations:

  • Provide inspirational leadership, direction, and coaching for direct reports
  • Develop effective and respectful teamwork with managers, instructor staff and other resort departments
  • Manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Solves anticipated and emerging challenges with grace
  • Responsible for the overall quality, consistency, and accountability of The Sales Desk Team
  • Prioritize guest satisfaction
  • Uphold safety standards within the department and be an advocate for all safety initiatives of the resort for our guests and staff
  • Communicate with other departments to create an environment of teamwork and support for the superior guest experience
  • Uses interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships based on trust
  • Collaborates as a part of a leadership team to achieve agreed upon goals
