Marketing Executive, EMEA
About Us
G Adventures is the world’s largest small-group adventure travel company and we’ve been making epic travel memories happen on all seven continents for over 30 years.
Our mission is simple: to change lives through travel. And not just our travelers’ either. Since day one, our tours have been built to establish meaningful relationships with local communities, directly benefiting the people and places we visit at every step of our tours.
With the demand for travel coming back strong, we are set up and excited for this next chapter in our company’s story — and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
Our DNA revolves around building, nurturing, and developing a diverse culture of people and a true sense of belonging, where everyone is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work each and every day. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, and yourself, alongside a passionate, talented, and welcoming community that works hard to spread goodness around the world.
If all that sounds like your kind of thing, well, we can’t wait for you to join us.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, experienced Marketing Executive to join the award-winning G Adventures team in London.
Your work will create opportunity, and deliver real impact on G Adventures’ mission at an exciting time for the organisation, and the wider travel industry.
This role skews to the b2b side of our business, meaning you’ll be bumping shoulders with our travel agent partners, executing industry-wide campaigns, and developing effective tools to help our partners fully understand G Adventures, and maximise the opportunity we present for their business.
As a Marketing Executive at G Adventures you’ll also play a starring role in our growing events program, and seasonal brochure programs.
On one hand you’ll bring order to the team via faultless project management, and on the other you’ll help to foster a culture of critical-thinking through your growing expertise in the fields of data and analytics.
Flanked by our regional sales and marketing teams; our internal creative agency; and industry partners, you’ll be empowered to level-up our services to support the business’s objectives that underpin our mission to change lives through travel.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing in London, UK (EC1V).
You do not require travel industry experience to land this role, or a university degree, but you will need 3+ years of recent experience in a marketing role at a similar level, or one with clearly demonstrably transferable skills. Please note, this is not a digital marketing role – it is powered by humans, and run by relationships.
What you’ll be doing
- You’ll be leading the promotion of G Adventures across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa markets in partnership with leading industry partners
- Leading the user experience in our b2b space, via every touch point, to maximise our partners’ opportunity for success
- You’ll become an expert on our business intelligence and data analytics platforms, to establish yourself as the font of all knowledge for marketing data and insights
- Support for all aspects of our exciting events program, including online and offline formats
- Not only will you be a budget owner, you will own the tools that govern the department’s cashflow
- You’ll be confirming placements on our trips for relevant media and industry partners
- The figurative ringleader of productivity for the EMEA marketing team, by controlling planning, workflow, and review loops
- Supporting the production of our annual travel brochures
- Driving the evolution of our merchandising strategy
- Point lead for some of our most forward-thinking sales and marketing partners
- Protecting our brand, as a fearless brand guardian, by promptly offering feedback in line with our brand standards and guideline
