Local Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Local and Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through on-island sales channels
and cultivating relationships within the local tourism and hospitality community. This position focuses
on concierge partnerships, corporate and convention group bookings, and private event sales.
This is a relationship-heavy, field-oriented role requiring regular in-person interaction with hotel
concierges, activity desks, and convention sales representatives. The ideal candidate combines
interpersonal skill with sales strategy—building long-term partnerships that generate consistent
bookings and brand loyalty.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBIITIES, & EXPECTATIONS:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Concierge & On-Island Sales
 Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with over 40 concierge desks, tour desks, and
activity resellers across the island.
 Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and product updates to hospitality partners.
 Provide collateral, promotional materials, and up-to-date booking information to all concierge
and front-line partners.
 Serve as the primary point of contact for all concierge-related sales activity and issue resolution.
Group, Corporate & Convention Sales
 Identify, solicit, and close corporate groups, conventions, incentive trips, and private
performance bookings.
 Work closely with VCB Convention Sales and other destination marketing organizations to
attract group business.
 Prepare customized proposals, pricing, and presentations for group and private event
opportunities.
 Coordinate with operations and marketing teams to deliver seamless group experiences and
ensure brand consistency.
 Track all inquiries and follow up diligently to maximize conversion rates.
Community & Partner Engagement
 Represent the organization at networking events, trade shows, and industry gatherings.

 Build long-term relationships with key hotel partners, DMCs (Destination Management
Companies), and local business leaders.
 Collaborate with the Director of Sales and marketing partners (e.g., Von Mack) to align
promotions and group offers.
 Support public relations and partnership initiatives that enhance the company’s visibility within
the community.
Sales Tracking & Reporting
 Maintain an updated CRM or sales tracking system with detailed notes, follow-up actions, and
performance data.
 Report weekly on:
o Concierge visits completed
o Leads generated and converted
o Group inquiries and bookings
o Revenue progress versus goals
 Analyze sales trends and provide feedback on pricing, promotions, and partner performance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
 3–5 years of sales experience within hospitality, attractions, tourism, or entertainment
industries.
 Proven ability to build and sustain long-term professional relationships.
 Strong understanding of the local tourism ecosystem and key distribution channels.
 Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
 Proficient with CRM platforms and basic reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Excel).
 Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
 Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
