PT Tour Guide – Hilton – Coronado

Job Responsibilities

  • Describe places of interest and guest stories around the resort with enthusiasm and energy and answer any questions, which requires learning a comprehensive history of each checkpoint
  • Provide directions to visitors who would like to check out a specific area at a later date, and provide information related to lodging, food and other hotel amenities
  • Monitor the behavior of the group, especially when young children are present, and ensure everyone remains in compliance with the safety guidelines
  • Greet visitors warmly as soon as the arrive
  • Be willing to put own spin on tour points, such as making jokes and providing insightful commentary
  • Learn tour script and stay up to date on resort developments and relevant news to add flavor and value
  • Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor at all times

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong public speaking or storytelling skills
  • Outgoing personality and willingness to collaborate as part of a team
  • Punctual
  • Previous experience with some kind of performance-based art
  • Flexible schedule to work on evenings, weekends

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a tour guide
