Director, Sales and Business Development

Arival is seeking an experienced business development and sales professional to join us in a senior role to help us grow our business in 2024 and beyond.

As a global leader in the In-Destinations Experiences sector of the travel industry, Arival produces the leading conferences, media, research, membership community (Arival Insiders) and other resources for the Best Part of Travel – tours, activities, attractions and experiences. As Director, Sales and Business Development, your job will be to establish global business relationships leading to new business opportunities for Arival.

The right candidate has a minimum of five years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in the in-destination experiences segment of travel and tourism. The ideal candidate has a passion for the technology and innovation that is connecting the in-destination experiences industry. Strong skills in verbal and written communication, analysis, presentation skills, and communications will be important, and you should be comfortable wearing multiple hats from strategist to lead generation to partnership development and closing deals.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the travel industry, preferably in the in-destination experiences sector
  • Understanding of connectivity for the in-destination experiences industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with business development and sales to Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) is MAJOR PLUS
  • Strong proficiency and advanced writing skills in English
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, technically savvy and a strong problem solver
  • Ability to think strategically about our customers and our business

  • Location: Remote, within 6 hours of EST
  • This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $75,000 depending on industry experience, plus commissions
