Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Brand Experiences is seeking a Visitor Relations Specialist | Tour Guide for our North Charleston, Boeing South Carolina (BSC) production site. This role will work independently to facilitate world-class VIP factory tour experiences for executive-sponsored guests from around the world.
As a member of the Boeing Future of Flight team, this position reports to the tour programs leadership team, and will interact with peers based out of Mukilteo, Everett, and Renton facilities, as well as the wider Boeing Brand experiences group. In addition, collaboration with onsite BSC partners will be essential to seamless VIP tour operations and promoting Boeing’s reputation in the community.
The ideal candidate will have strong detail-oriented and proactive skills, extensive practice in creating a culture of hospitality and exceptional visitor experiences, as well as proficient with learning and presenting scripted material in a professional manner. They must also be able to anticipate guest and tour resource needs, develop new procedures to meet the changing needs of the operation, discern work priorities in a fast-paced environment, and effectively manage a tour calendar and operations with little supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
- Memorizes BSC tour script material and delivers in a professional, energetic, and inspiring manner to tour guests as a key representative of the Boeing brand
- Works with the tour program team to prepare scripted content
- Coordinates daily tour schedule with authorizing coordinators to accommodate approved VIP tour requests
- Develops a tour logistics plan, and works with sponsoring departments and escorts for full visitor itinerary coordination
- Intakes all individual tour attendee names and relevant information to process site badging with BSC Security team
- Communicates proactively with tour partners and guests; trouble-shoot itinerary issues
- Oversees and maintains inventory of tour assets and equipment including golf cart, headsets/mics, and other tour amenities
- Drives carts as needed for tour requirements; follows all vehicle and transportation safety guidelines for safe practices
- Documents tour metrics accurately to report attendance and tours by category
- Communicates visitor feedback to leadership and actively work to implement operational and content improvements
- Learns and delivers virtual tour experiences for BSC and other sites as requested
- Works with the experience development team for onsite exhibits and displays to support the BSC story
- Works with training specialist to create and update training and procedure documents for BSC VIP tour operations
- Cross-trains team members as needed
- Maintains knowledge of all facility safety procedures and leads emergency operations for tour operations
- Escalates communication to leadership regarding incidents involving property damage, safety issues, or any accidents or injuries
- Works with the facility team to remedy site specific facility issues including submitting work orders
- Documents daily shift and tour notes
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience giving public tours and/or public speaking
- Capability to walk/drive a golf cart for a long distance while narrating a tour and supervising the safety and security of visitors
- 5+ experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
- Experience in resolving scheduling conflicts
- Event planning experience
Typical Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
