Attractions Supervisor – New York New York

We are looking for an Attractions Supervisor to join the team at New York New York Hotel and Casino. The Attractions Supervisor will assist with the day-to-day operations of our Arcade and Roller Coaster, ensuring the highest safety standards on the platform and in the Arcade. This role includes completing all checklists and opening/closing procedures in line with departmental and property policies. THE JOB:

The Attractions Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Attractions Department, which includes both the Arcade and Roller Coaster. This role ensures that safety on the platform and in the Arcade is of the utmost importance. Additionally, the Attractions Supervisor ensures that all checklists and opening and closing procedures are completed. All duties must be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.45/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist with recruitment and training of new team members.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all operating systems.
  • Verify proper functioning of equipment in both the Arcade and Roller Coaster.
  • Administer evacuation training and enforce safety procedures.
  • Monitor team adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Operate POS equipment and computers.
  • Prepare written communications for leadership, vendors, or corporate departments.
  • Interact professionally with vendors, guests, and staff members.
  • Address customer complaints regarding machine malfunctions; diagnose issues.
  • Determine game placement and pricing based on guest demand.
  • Handle guest challenges effectively.
  • Foster a culture of positivity and cooperation within the Attractions department.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and ensure peak cleanliness of games and attractions.
  • Stay updated on latest technologies and suggest improvements for efficiency and safety.
  • Mentor fellow technicians to enhance team skills.
  • Regularly communicate with leadership, sharing ideas, concerns, or suggestions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Experience supervising attractions with a strong focus on safety standards.
  • Ensures completion of checklists, procedures, and adherence to policies.
  • Effective team leadership and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and familiar with arcade and roller coaster operations
  • Prior experience in a similar resort setting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
