General Summary:

The Extreme Adventure Guide will guide our guests through our most extreme adventure, The Adventure Ropes. The Extreme Guide must be comfortable being at heights 30+ feet above the ground for an extended period. SafetyEquipment is essential for this adventure and the Extreme Guide must learn and demonstrate the proper use of harnessing, including correctly fitting, adjusting, attaching, and inspecting the harness as well as the different elements on the course.

The Extreme Guide will help lead our unsure or frightenedexpeditioners through the course exercising patience and superior guestservice. The Extreme Guide must also be able to assess situations and make fast accurate decisions regarding possible emergencies during the expedition. The Extreme Guide must successfully complete the Ropes Training Course and attend all meetings throughout the season that pertain to Ropes Training. The Extreme Guide must be willing to learn and excel in our belay training.

Availability:

  • May 27, 2025 – September 1, 2025, you must be available to work at least 4 shifts per week during the summer. (excluding pre-approved time off or management adjusted schedules)
  • March 1, 2025 – May 26, 2025, and September 2, 2025 – November 2, 2025, you mustbe available to work at least 2 shifts per week during our shoulder seasons.
  • November 7, 2025 – January 4, 2026, you must be able to work at least 2 shifts per week for our Holiday Lights season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing of the attraction
  • Daily inspections of each element of the course
  • Provide exceptional Guest Service.
  • Daily cleaning duties: including trash, wiping up any mess, organizing.
  • Explaining the rules of the Adventure Ropes Course to all participants.
  • Correctly harnessing all participants.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old at time of hire.
  • Outgoing personality
  • Attention to detail and accountability.
  • Must be dependable and punctual with transportation to and from work.
  • Flexible scheduling, including the ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.
  • Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat and cold.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; to lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weights.
  • Comfortable with heights and wearing a safety harness for prolonged periods of time.

Education/Experience

  • First Aid/CPR certificate or be able to complete training once hired.

You will not be scheduled to work during academic school hours; however, you must be available after school, weekends, and holidays. We generally can approve requests for time off, up to two weeks in duration, with advanced notice. Requests for days off must be submitted in advance and are based on requirements per team. We will do our best to accommodate all scheduled requests, including those around fall school activities. Only time off requested for fall academics guaranteed.
