How to Get the Most Out of Arival Bangkok
Pro tips on maximizing your experience at Arival Bangkok 2019.
We’re just a few weeks away from the first Arival Asia Pacific conference in Bangkok, Thailand, taking place 24-26 June 2019 at the beautiful Avani+ Riverside Hotel.
If you’re attending (which we hope you are!), here’s how to get the most out of your Arival experience:
Get the Arival App. Be sure to use the Arival App to connect with other attendees, have the Arival agenda at your fingertips, get exclusive discounts on local tours, attractions and activities, and more. Be sure to update your app profile with your contact details so other participants can reach you at Arival to view your interests and information about your business.
For detailed instructions on how to download the Arival App, check your registration email or our Attendee Alert Emails (they come each Monday leading up to the conference)
Sign up for Workshops and Demo Labs. Take advantage of Arival’s suite of Workshops and Demo Labs for hands-on education and sneak peeks of the hottest new technology launches that can help build your business. All workshops are included with your Arival badge. Pre-register by June 14th to secure your seat.
It’s easy to pre-register for Workshops and Demos Labs in the Arival App. Head to the section of the app called “My Registration” and scroll to the bottom. Fill out your registration info and choose which workshops appeal to you (make sure they don’t overlap in time). Remember to press “Submit” at the bottom in order to save your spot.
Get your networking on! Do make it a point to participate in networking events as much as possible. One of the best parts of Arival is connecting, laughing and exchanging ideas with other creators and sellers of tours, activities and attractions. Use the Arival App to plan meetings with other attendees and businesses. Also make sure you prioritize our social events—they are deliberately designed to help you meet and socialize with others.
On Tuesday and Wednesday (25 & 26 June) at noon, there will be networking lunches. And definitely don’t miss Arival’s Bangkok Experience Party & Dinner, held from 6:15-11:30pm on 25 June, which will take place at a renovated outdoor market and Chinese shrine dating back to the mid-1800s.
What to wear. Arival is not like other conferences. We create a casual and relaxed atmosphere at our event (after all, we’re talking about the Best Part of Travel). We invite you to wear whatever clothing makes you feel your best—whether that be a button-down and a blazer, or jeans and a t-shirt.
If you’re planning to extend your stay in Bangkok to visit the city’s storied temples (which you should!), be sure to pack clothes like pants, long-sleeve shirts and closed-toed shoes—many temples have dress codes that require modest attire.
Don’t forget to pack your business cards for networking, too. (If you do forget your cards, don’t worry. The Arival App has a nifty scanning function that can capture attendee information.)
Minimize your environmental impact. Arival is proud to take steps to reduce plastic waste at our conference. We’re partnering with Leisure Pass Group and an amazing organization called RefillNotLandfill Asia to offer stainless steel water bottles for all of our attendees and water refill stations. And yes—you do get to keep the bottle after the conference.
We’re also partnering with Expedia to offer reusable, silicone straws to Arival attendees. We encourage you to be mindful of your plastic use while traveling, too, to help keep Southeast Asia beautiful.
Get social! Share what you learn at Arival, connect with your peers and let your customers know you’re investing in your business by getting active on social media. Use the hashtag #arivalevent, and tag us @ArivalTravel on Instagram and Twitter.
We’ve created special social media images that you can download prior to Arival Bangkok to let your peers know you’re attending. Download them here.
