What Your Customers Want: In-Destination Traveler Trends

The In-Destination Industry – Tours, Activities, Attractions & Events – is travel’s third-largest sector by spend. It represents everything travelers do in-destination, when they get there.

It’s also woefully under-researched. Until now.

Arival surveyed 4,000 travelers from the U.S., U.K., France and Germany to help creators and sellers of Tours, Activities, Attractions & Events understand what travelers want, how they shop and book, and the key trends shaping the future of travel’s third-largest sector.

We will be publishing a series of articles and reports to share these insights with all of you over the coming weeks and months. You can start to dig in with this presentation I delivered at the Arival conference this past September in Las Vegas. This short presentation covers key findings from the study, including the top activities, preferences of younger travelers, shopping and booking patterns, and some key recommendations for Tour, Activity and Attraction operators.
